Since in most cases video cards are not produced by developers, but by manufacturers, the durability of these expansion cards directly depends on the manufacturer. A lot of companies are involved in the release of graphic accelerators, but the most famous ones are Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and Palit.

Asus

Asus company produces video cards related to the average (in its segment) price range. Therefore, it is not worth expecting turbine cooling from it with some highly efficient evaporators. However, with its task - the production of good graphics cards - it copes perfectly.

So, for top-end video cards, Asus uses a proprietary cooling system with four-pin fans, numerous heat pipes and aluminum plates. They effectively reduce the heating of the chip - and at the same time work quietly.

In addition, in Asus video cards you can find various additional functions like backplate or backlight.

Gigabyte

Gigabyte works even better on cooling systems. Therefore, video cards, even top ones, differ from this company by the minimum heating intensity. In addition, it manages to make these expansion cards compact enough.

However, video cards from this manufacturer differ in a higher price than Asus.

MSI

Despite the fact that MSI is one of the largest manufacturers of video cards, it is not as well suited to developing its graphics accelerators as the previous two.

But she has a special series of Gaming, which includes game video cards that have become "even more game." Thanks to the proprietary technology of unlocking the multiplier, these graphics accelerators start working faster than the developer had planned.

The price paid for this is slightly stronger heating under high load than that of Asus and Gigabyte. However, it is still insignificant. As Gigabyte, Asus uses a proprietary cooling system, which is distinguished not only by the design of thermal ducts and the configuration of the radiator, but also by the geometry of the fan blades.

Palit

Palit is the world's largest video card manufacturer. But this does not prevent her from releasing rather mediocre accelerators.

More precisely, she, like the others, has both successful and very mediocre models. But only Palit manages to release radically different versions of the same accelerator in terms of operating characteristics.

So, for example, its video cards in some cases occupy three expansion slots at once - and still heat up more than similar models from competitors occupying only two slots. This may be critical for some gamers.

But Palit manage to overclock video cards in such a way that they start working even faster than Asus models with an unlocked multiplier. Accelerators of the GameRock Premium Edition range are especially productive. Moreover, they also support overclocking!

NVIDIA and AMD

Development companies sometimes produce video cards themselves. Most often they do it with top and newest models.For example, in 2017, NVIDIA single-handedly releases the Titan XP graphics card, and AMD releases several models of the Radeon RX Vega series at once.

But since there is nothing to compare these video cards with (apart from each other, but this is a topic for a separate dispute), it is pointless to carry out any analysis. Given that they are flagship, you can simply say that they are all infinitely steep.

It is difficult to say that any manufacturer of the "Big Four" is better or worse than all the rest. However, for example, gamers, enthusiasts should pay attention to the model from Palit, especially in the flagship series, lovers of silence - on Asus and Gigabyte, and the rest - on MSI.
