How to choose an aquarium

Criteria for choosing an aquarium
The form
There are several variations of the form - round, rectangular, angular. The choice depends solely on where the aquarium will stand and what shape will be appropriate in the interior.
Appearance
Examine the product carefully before purchasing. Make sure there are no cracks, chips or scratches. Silicone, which the seams are missed, should be evenly applied without voids and extra clots. The best aquarium is airtight, made in compliance with the technology.
The size
Watch the ratio of the aquarium and thumbs under it. The surface of the cabinet can be larger than the aquarium installed on it. But the aquarium should not go beyond a centimeter beyond the bollards. Otherwise, the result will be skewed and over time the aquarium will become unusable.
Choosing glass
Aquariums are made of two types of glass: acrylic and silicate. Prefer models with acrylic glass. It has many advantages:

- attach additional accessories to it easily;
- break it hard;

Look for an aquarium where the ends of the glass are carefully polished. With the help of grinding get rid of microcracks, which are detrimental to aquariums. If you need a model whose length exceeds 50 cm, then look for models with stiffeners. Their presence is required, otherwise the aquarium does not serve for a long time.
