Latex facade paints have increased elasticity and excellent vapor permeability, making it suitable for all types of substrates. However, due to their high absorbency, the surface covered by them quickly becomes wet and becomes easily contaminated.

Silicone facade paints are hydrophobic, vapor permeable and have excellent adhesion. But they are prone to fading. However, these paints reliably protect the base of the facade from any negative impacts.

Silicate facade paints they are distinguished by maximum adhesion (it is so strong that they will have to be removed during the restoration along with the plaster) and effectively protect the facade from mold. But at the same time they are not suitable for organic - for example, wooden - basis.

Tips for choosing front paint

A few tips on choosing the right exterior paint:

1. It is worth avoiding very cheap solutions. They most likely contain a lot of solvent;
2. In general, the more binder the better;
3. The hiding power of the facade paint must be at least 100 grams per square meter;
4. Paint is recommended to choose, depending on the used plaster;
5. To cover the facade, which is exposed to direct sunlight, it is better to choose light-resistant paints (acrylic, acrylic-silicone, polysilicon);
6. Glossy paints have a greater light fastness than matte, but at the same time low vapor permeability and do not mask defects in the coating of the facade.
